Ziggy’s Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits 2 ½ cups whole wheat flour ½ cup powdered milk 1 cup creamy peanut butter 1 large egg, beaten water dog bone cookie cutter, or shape of your choice Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Mix flour and powdered milk in large bowl. Add peanut butter and cut in with pastry blender until the size of small peas. Mix beaten egg with enough water to make 1 cup. Add to mixture. Working with a fork, mix until it starts to come together and finish by hand into a smooth dough. Roll ¼ inch thick as you would cookie dough. Cut out shapes and place on cookie sheet. No need to grease or spray. Re-roll scraps and continue as above. You may also make small snack type bites by rolling scraps into a square and slicing ½ inch wide strips into 1 inch rectangles. You should get two trays. Bake for 25 minutes, switch trays, top to bottom. Turn off oven and leave to thoroughly dry and cool. Store in airtight container. Makes approx. 3 dozen large cookies, with smaller snacks treats. NOTE: As a special treat, for holidays or birthdays, I cut out different shapes and dip them in melted carob, which is pet-safe. Sometimes even adding a few chocolate-free sprinkles.
