This is a recipe I found in some very old circa 1970's recipe cards. I think they are from Betty Crocker.  The recipe did not call for peanuts only chopped nuts. I like to use peanuts in those cases as peanuts are my favorite.                         Lace Roll-ups   1 cup all purpose flour 1 cup finely chopped roasted Good Earth Peanuts 1/2 cup corn syrup 1/2 cup shortening 2/3 cup packed brown sugar   Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix flour and nuts. In medium saucepan heat corn syrup shortening and brown sugar to a boil over medium heat Remove from heat. Gradually stir in flour-peanut mixture. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls about 3 inches apart onto lightly greased baking sheet. Bake only about 6 or 7 at a time. Bake about five minutes. cool 3 minutes before removing from baking sheet. While warm carefully roll into cylindrical shapes. If they harden before you get them roll put back in the oven for about 1 minute to soften.   Makes about 4 dozen cookies   Pat Dazis
