Southern Peanut Soup

    1package dry onion soup mix
    2 ribs celery, finely chopped
    2 teaspoons finely chopped parsley
    2 Tablespoons butter
    1 quart chicken stock
    1/2 Tablespoon all-purpose flour
    1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
    1 cup milk ( may use 1/2 cup heavy cream and 1/2 cup milk for richer taste and thicker texture) chopped peanuts ( garnish)

Mix first 4 ingredients and heat to a boil. Add 1/2 Tablespoon flour which has been mixed with chicken stock to this mixture. Strain all and add peanut butter and milk. Cook until hot and blended. ( Do not bring to rolling boil) Pour into bowls and top with chopped peanuts.
