Hot Peanut Cereal

    2 cups water
    1 cup milk
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/4 cup whole wheat flour
    1/4 cup cracked wheat*
    3/4 cup + 2 tbsp raw peanut meal
    1/4 cup sultana raisins
    2 tbsp honey

On medium high heat, add water, milk and salt to a saucepan and let heat for a few minutes. Then add flour, cracked wheat and peanut meal and whisk into a smooth mixture. Now add the raisins and honey. Mixture should come to a boil and turn heat to medium low. Cook uncovered for about 10-12 minutes (if you prefer a thicker consistancy, cook a few minutes longer).

*If you don't have cracked wheat on hand, another 1/4 cup of whole wheat flour may be substituted.

The flavour of this cereal is similar to peanut butter cookies and is a healthy energizing meal for kids!
